What is SHYG?
Throughout the RE year (September through June), SHYG meets twice a month on the first and third Sunday, during the service, from September through May. SHYG is a safe and welcoming place for teens supported by the dedicated guidance of a team of experienced adult advisors.
What Does the SHYG Group Focus On?
We are a discussion heavy group. Adults don’t teach, but we have games and discussion starters so the youth can talk, argue, discuss and think about all kinds of topics like relationships, spirituality, hobbies, school, their future, etc.

Youth Cons
Youth are invited to gather and celebrate Unitarian Universalism, themselves, and their community in an awesome weekend filled with spirituality, social action, and friends!
Please note that these events are run independently, even when they are hosted at UUSS. They have their own facilitators and leadership structure and practices. Please consult the YRUUP website for more details.
